Backpacks for Kids: Supporting Students Year-Round

As the first semester of high school ends, we want to remind families in our community that our Backpacks for Kids program is here to support you year-round. Since 2005, we’ve provided free backpacks filled with essential school supplies to families facing financial challenges. We’ve learned that the need for school supplies doesn’t end in September, so we’ve expanded our program to assist students throughout the school year.

Second Semester Support

If you have a high school student entering their second semester, we’re here to help. We understand that life circumstances can change unexpectedly, and we want to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed. Our program now accommodates families who need assistance beyond the traditional back-to-school season.

How to Get Help

To request support for your high school student:

  1. Visit our website and fill out the request form on our Backpacks page
  2. Call us at 905-372-6955 for a judgment-free conversation about your needs

We’re committed to listening and providing support without any stigma attached. Our goal is to equip every student with the necessary supplies to thrive in their education, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Remember, our Backpacks for Kids program is here for you not just at the start of the school year, but whenever you need us. Don’t hesitate to reach out as your teenager begins their second semester. Our mission is to ensure that every student in our community has an equal opportunity to succeed in school.
