We’re excited to announce that Cars for Community is officially underway, bringing together Northumberland County’s automotive sector in one of our most impactful collaborative campaigns of the year.
There’s something powerful about an entire industry coming together with a shared vision. That’s exactly what we’re witnessing through Cars for Community, where local dealerships and automotive businesses have united behind a simple but meaningful concept: every vehicle sale becomes an investment in community wellbeing.
Running through November 30th, this campaign transforms routine car purchases into acts of community support, with participating dealerships contributing $10 from each new and used vehicle sale directly to United Way Northumberland programs.
We’re grateful to work alongside five exceptional dealership partners who’ve committed to this three-month initiative: Cobourg Honda, TrueNorth Auto, Cobourg Kia, Campbellford Chrysler Ltd., and Cobourg Mazda. These businesses understand that when communities thrive, everyone benefits.
Equally important are the campaign sponsors whose support makes this initiative possible: Tinney’s Auto Spa, East End Auto Repair, NoCo Autoworx, and Brighton Automotive and Industrial Supply. Their behind-the-scenes contributions ensure that every dollar from vehicle sales can go directly toward community programs.
What makes Cars for Community particularly meaningful is how it connects everyday needs with community impact. When families shop locally for reliable transportation, they’re simultaneously supporting food security programs, youth development initiatives, senior services, and emergency assistance throughout our region.
This campaign exemplifies what we love most about Northumberland County: businesses that see themselves as community partners, not just service providers.
