This winter, we’re taking a moment to reflect — not just on the season, but on the leadership that has guided Northumberland United Way through the past year.
Executive Director Alicia Vandine joined us a year ago, bringing with her a deep commitment to strengthening our community, fostering relationships, and driving meaningful change. Over the past 12 months, she has:
✅ Reinforced donor and partner relations, ensuring long-term impact
✅ Expanded Northumberland Eats into a micro-grant stream, supporting 24 food banks and food hubs this past December
✅ Streamlined internal systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness
✅ Reignited community connections, ensuring we are working together for lasting change
✅ Developed a strategic plan for 2025, with a clear focus on food security and poverty reduction
Her leadership has transformed our office into a hub of impact and collaboration, ensuring that every initiative is backed by a strong vision.
As we move forward, we’re excited for the next phase of growth and impact under Alicia’s leadership. Thank you to our donors, partners, and supporters — you are all part of this journey.
We acknowledge that United Way Northumberland is situated on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Ojibway/Chippewa peoples. As settlers, we’re grateful for the opportunity to live and work on this land and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land – for thousands of years.
