11 automotive dealerships across Northumberland County are teaming up once again for the second annual “Cars for Community” campaign, supporting United Way Northumberland.
From September 1 to November 30, 2023, participating dealerships will donate $10 from every new and used vehicle sold to United Way, helping important programs and services in Northumberland County.
“We’re excited for the second year of Cars for Community, and we’re grateful for the support from these local dealerships.” says Maggie Darling, Acting Executive Director, United Way Northumberland. “Funds raised will address food insecurity, mental health, children’s programming, seniors support, and housing assistance, to name a few.”
Last year, the campaign raised $6,800 to support local United Way programs and funded services.
A big thank you to this year’s participating dealerships: Campbellford Chrysler, Cobourg Honda, Cobourg Mazda, JC&DC Motors, JSC Auto Sales, Lauria Hyundai, Lauria Volkswagen, Mallory Auto, Stewart Auto Hub, Thomas Buick GMC, and Vandermeer Toyota.
Other dealerships can still join the campaign. If your business wants to help, you can reach out to Chelsea at crankin@nuw.unitedway.ca or call 905-372-6955.
