During our CommUNITY BBQ and Campaign Kickoff, United Way Northumberland announced an incredible opportunity for donors! Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we are kicking off our 2023 campaign with a $50,000 Matching Gift opportunity. This means that new donations to United Way will be 100% matched, and any donors who increase their donation by 10% or more will also be matched, doubling the love and doubling the impact.
In recent years, matching gifts have played a vital role in United Way’s community support efforts. A total of $225,000 has been donated to launch matching gifts, translating to $500,000 in impact for Northumberland County.
The funds raised through this matching gift will allow us to continue our annual investments in the community through community partner allocations, while also investing in programs and advocacy work to address our greatest needs.
