United Way Northumberland Launches “Community Matters” to Connect with and Empower Northumberland County Residents

United Way Northumberland is thrilled to launch “Community Matters,” a county-wide engagement project designed to connect with and empower individuals and families throughout Northumberland County. This initiative aims to listen to the voices of our community members, better understand their needs, and uncover our county’s strengths and opportunities.

“We are genuinely excited to engage in meaningful conversations with our community members to gain deeper insights into the challenges and opportunities within Northumberland County,” says Maggie Darling, Acting Executive Director, United Way Northumberland. “Community Matters will play a pivotal role in shaping our investments, programs, and advocacy efforts, ensuring that the generous donations we receive are directed where they can make the most significant impact.”

United Way is actively engaging with community partners, emergency services, and local leaders to explore their aspirations for the community and identify its strengths and opportunities. They are also extending their outreach to libraries and centers across Northumberland County, valuing the invaluable insights of those who live, work, and play in the area, all of whom are dedicated to making it an outstanding place for everyone.
