Behind every changed life is somebody who made it happen. None of the work we do at Northumberland United Way would be possible without the generosity of our donors, supporters and volunteers.
Our Annual Reports, Impact Reports and Financials show you how your donations go directly to our communities and how they make an impact on the lives of those living in Northumberland County.
The work of Northumberland United Way and our community partners has never been more important. Over the past few months, we’ve seen our community rally together and perform heartwarming acts of Local Love. Read more in Our Impact.
We remain effective and keep costs low by strategically leveraging donated services and advertising support, sponsorship, and volunteers. Our administrative and fundraising costs are well below the 35% cost-revenue ratio recommended by the Canada Revenue Agency, which means a bigger impact on your every dollar.

Policies are the guiding principles that steer us and our actions, ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct. By establishing policies, we are demonstrating commitment to responsible stewardship of resources and maintaining the trust of donors, volunteers, and the communities we serve.

We acknowledge that United Way Northumberland is situated on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Ojibway/Chippewa peoples. As settlers, we’re grateful for the opportunity to live and work on this land and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land – for thousands of years.
