Northumberland County, it’s time to burger for a cause!
This November, we’re turning up the heat (and the grills) for The Ultimate Burger Battle: a month-long, community-powered showdown where good food meets great purpose.
From November 1 to 30, 11 local restaurants across Northumberland County are serving up their own take on the “Ultimate Burger,” each competing for your vote and bragging rights as the best burger in town. Every burger purchased helps support United Way Northumberland’s community programs, ensuring families and children across our county have access to the essentials they need to thrive.
Participating restaurants include:
It’s that simple, and delicious.
This initiative is part of a national movement, with United Ways across Canada joining forces to raise funds in the tastiest way possible. Last year alone, tens of thousands of burgers were enjoyed from coast to coast — and every bite helped create meaningful change in local communities.
Here in Northumberland, those funds help power our in-house programs like school nutrition initiatives, which ensure students start their day with the fuel they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Throughout November, we’ll be sharing updates, photos, and stories from the battle — and we invite you to join the fun. Tag us and your favourite restaurant when you post your burger photos, and show your #LocalLove and #NoCoPride.
Because when our community comes together, even over something as simple as a burger, we can create lasting change for the people and families who call Northumberland home.
Let the battle begin! 🍔
We acknowledge that United Way Northumberland is situated on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Ojibway/Chippewa peoples. As settlers, we’re grateful for the opportunity to live and work on this land and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land – for thousands of years.
